How to get to La Tenda Association

"La Tenda" Association's headquarters are located in via Ferrucci 607 Prato, Italy, near the "A11 Firenze-Mare" motorway "Prato Est" exit.
Here is how to get to them from Florence, Italy:

• by your own car or
• by train and bus.

by your own car

We assume you're in Florence, Italy.

1. Take the "A11 Firenze-Mare" (Florence-Sea) motorway towards Viareggio;
2. a few kilometers from Florence you'll find the Prato Est exit: take it;
3. beyond the toll stop take the right ramp following indications leading to "Signa";
4. before reaching the bridge, take the exit on right, again following indications leading to Signa;
5. at the roundabout take the second right exit, following indications leading to "Centro" (city center), not Signa this time;
6. at the next roundabout take the second exit;
7. enter the green gate on the left, in front of the gas and oil station: you'll find "La Tenda" (the tent) in front of you.

Prato has two train stations: Prato Centrale, which is located out of the old town walls, and Porta al Serraglio which is in the city center instead. Pretty silly, right?

We suggest you to get to Prato Centrale; here you could:

• take a taxi and get to via Ferrucci 607 (near Datini Hotel) or
• take a bus as follows:
  1. at the "CAP Autolinee Pratesi" (Prato's Bus Lines) ticket office located on the outer wall of the station get a ticket for the "Prato-Campi-Firenze" bus valid to reach "Mezzana" (in Prato's outer limits): you don't want to pay as going to Florence if you drop from the bus earlier;
  2. get on the bus CAP or F.lli Lazzi "Prato-Campi-Firenze" and not Firenze D (direct);
  3. ask the driver to let you drop from the bus at the stop nearer to Datini Hotel;
  4. reach the close-by gas and oil station;
  5. enter the green gate, in front of the gas and oil station: you'll find "La Tenda" (the tent) in front of you.
